Annual ALR Chapter Report – now online!
Finally, the Annual ALR Chapter Report is online and ready for ALR Chapter Directors to complete. No more hassles with printing the form, filling it out, mailing it, etc.
This information is vital for Department ALR Chairman Barry Maples in reporting to the American Legion of ALR activities and contributions across the state. Please complete the form as soon as possible, so that the information can be tabulated and formatted for presenting to the American Legion at Mid-Winter Forum and Department Convention.

10 Oct 2026 – ALR 5 Emporia – Repatriation Escort
Brothers Sgt Jay Moreland and S/Sgt William Moreland, U.S. Army were KIA at Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6th, 1944, when their landing craft struck an underwater mine. They have been identified and will be returned to their hometown of Bushong Kansas.

Timing:
12:30 – 1:00 pm: Stage motorcycles at the Funeral Home
1:00 – 1:30 pm: Stand Flagline in front of Funeral Home
Flags will already be in place.
1:30 pm: Service Begins (includes presentation by family member)
2:30 pm: Est. Departure Time for Escort to Bushong Cemetery
Large Bike Flags encouraged
45 minute escort at 30 mph
The last mile will be gravel road!
If desired, riders may leave the escort before turning off pavement at Road 330, just South of Bushong on Road F.
3:30 pm: Est. Graveside with Military Honors Flags In-Place
We highly recommend visiting the North Lyon County Veterans Memorial in Bushong after the escort.
