May 2025 – Fundraiser for Folds of Honor
My name is Brent, and I’m in the Kansas Air National Guard. After serving 20 years, I’ve seen how families are affected by military life, and I want to help those hit hardest by the loss of their fathers.
In May and prior to Memorial Day, I plan to ride my motorcycle to each active duty base in Kansas in a single day: one Air Force base and two Army bases, before returning home. The ride is planned for about 8 hours and very roughly 500 miles.
To the max extent possible, money raised here will go to Folds of Honor.

June 5th Salina ALR will escort the truck out of town about 8-ish and head to rest area north of Salina on Highway 81. Please meet at the rest area, not Salina. We will leave from there and head to Concordia. Pass the information along to any Motorcycle groups, Active Military, Veterans, and First Responders that would like to escort this truck. Also, they will need help assembling the wall once we get there!

This year’s KSLR will start in Salina and includes stops at Legion Posts in Concordia and Greenleaf, with special wreath laying ceremonies at Fort Riley Cemetery and the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, where we will lay a wreath at Roger Beckley’s grave. We’ll end the day in Manhattan.
Special note for going on Fort Riley: Safety gear is paramount for motorcycle riders, and the Army mandates the use of Department of Transportation-approved helmets, long sleeve shirts, full-fingered gloves, long pants, and over-the-ankle boots. According to AR 385-10, these regulations are in place to ensure maximum protection. We will be escorted from the Grant gate to the base cemetery for the wreath laying, then escorted to our exit from the base at the Ogden gate. Being permitted to go on base without the normal approval process is a tremendous privilege, so please be prepared to comply with this regulation. Riders who do not have the required safety gear will have to meet the Run at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery.
Day 2 of the three-day Run will take us to the east, and will include a very special stop the Topeka VA Hospital to visit with the Veterans there, a wreath laying at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Post stops include Rossville and Ozawkie, ending at Gardner Post 19.
Day 3 will take us over some of the most beautiful roads and scenery in KS to the end of Run at the beautiful Lindsborg Post 140.
The pre-run was completed 9-11 May and the route is now set. The Run will stick to secondary and county roads as much as possible, with minimal time on higher traffic highways.
